MultiRotorResearch BV is a new start-up from students of Fontys ICT. We are creating a smart autonomous drone platform capable of fully autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance. We have developed a unique AI based control method to fly drones fully autonomous using one single AI model. This single AI model is trained on human flying behavior using a method called behavior cloning. This system which we call End-2-End navigation, can avoid obstacles in even the most difficult situations.
Our system will be used for industrial applications like inspecting the safety of infrastructure or helping farmers get insights about their crops. By using our smart AI, anyone can use our drones for these important industrial applications. They simply plan a GPS based mission and press one button to start the drone. This way anyone can use our drones for their application, making our drones able to truly impact the world.
This project is part of the City Digital Twin project, which was created to enrich open data (air quality) with public area info and other data sources, to define useful eco-score. The A(I)R Zoom Lens uses Augmented reality to visualize fine dust particles so they are more tangible to the inhabitants of Eindhoven. It also uses Artificial Intelligence to predict future behaviour of these particles.
Laio is an AI-Powered news editor for Innovation Origins that addresses various topics including medical technology, renewable energy, and AI. The model is fed information from the internet, including Google searches, emails, RSS feeds, social media posts, etc. The data's differentiation process is the issue that arises after the input procedure. The goal is to create an AI model for Innovations Origins that applies CRAAP filtering that differentiates the data based on its relevancy, reliability, and copyright. The dataset for Laio will not be able to distribute false information thanks to this algorithm. Also, it will cut down on the amount of time journalists spend fact-checking.

Our goal is to build a Smart Mirror to help people with Dementia. For people with dementia, everyday things can be difficult to remember. One of these things is getting dressed. Through the use of an AI model and a camera, we aim to recognize clothing that a person with dementia is wearing in front of the mirror. Coupling this with data from daily weather forecasts, we aim to give an assessment on what the person is wearing and if it is appropriate for the current weather.

With more than 3 million members, DELA is a non-profit cooperation which organizes affordable and worthy funerals. Apart from that, in their online store they offer various keepsake items, which serve to preserve the memory of a deceased loved one into something tangible. We are developing a new recommendation system for DELA's website which will bring more value to the purchasers by allowing them to explore suitable products more efficiently.

We, a team of four students at Fontys University, have taken on a project focused on addressing air pollution in Eindhoven. Our goal is to create a user-friendly chatbot that informs people about air pollution, offers practical tips, and encourages them to take action. Through extensive research and collaboration with experts, we aim to provide accurate information and make a positive impact on air quality in our community.
